As a Combat Photographer in the United States Marine Corps, I committed over a decade to honing my craft through a combination of education and hands-on experience. I've traveled to various countries throughout my work, capturing unforgettable moments, and immersing myself in diverse cultures. In 2017, I competed in the Marine Corps' Visual Information and Excellence in Communication Awards program and was selected to be the Marine Photographer of the Year. In search of personal and professional development, I sought out opportunities to broaden my skill set. Later that year, I was selected to participate in the Eddie Adams Workshop, which gave me a greater understanding and perspective in storytelling. Upon completion of the workshop, I received the Major Herman V. Wall award.
In 2019, I joined Syracuse University's Military Photojournalism program to further my skills and push myself to new creative heights. In 2020, I completed the MVJ program and received orders to the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. During my time at the Pentagon, I received two Gold Telly Awards for my contributions in the development of the U.S. Marine Corps 246th and 247th Birthday Message videos. In 2023, I received a nomination and was awarded a regional Emmy by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
Now based in the North Chicago region, I continue to specialize in a wide range of engaging photographic genres such as weddings, fashion, and commercial photography. My goal is to tell visually appealing stories with photographic and cinematic techniques.
